Austrian kids’ bike expert Woom is launching an exciting new product on the market with its new Woom Go. The successor to the popular Woom Original should continue to set standards in terms of comfort, safety and riding fun. But what makes the Woom Go so special? We take a closer look at the innovative concept of the new children’s bike.
Easy to ride and light in weight
As particularly lightweight all-round bikes, the Woom Go bikes are available in four sizes for children aged 1.5 to 8 years. They allow children to experience their first small and big adventures both in the city and in nature. Available as balance bikes (12 and 14 inches) or bicycles (14, 16 and 20 inches), the new models are suitable for all children who are starting out on a balance bike or bicycle and can then switch to the next larger bike as they get older. The low weight, age-appropriate geometry and equipment as well as the many safety features are designed to make it easy and safe for children to learn to ride a bike in a fun and playful way.

Differences to the Woom Original
The Woom Go is already the 8th generation of the popular Woom Original — with numerous technical updates, new colors – and now a new name. Compared to the previous model, the Woom Go has the following new features:
- The more beginner-friendly bike geometry and the age-appropriate saddle ensure a particularly upright position and even more comfort.
- The narrower diameter at the handlebar ends and the age-appropriate grips offer children a more comfortable grip.
- ABC markings on the BMX handlebars and seat post make it easier to adjust the saddle and handlebars to your body size.
- The saddle on the Woom Go 1 and Woom Go 1 Plus bikes has a textured underside for easy carrying.
- The Woom Go 4 has a particularly smooth-running twist grip gearshift with shift indicator (hare for faster riding, tortoise for slower riding).
- New color options: In addition to the classic woom red, the colors vibrant yellow, hot pink, metallic blue and metallic turquoise are now also available.
While the Woom Original was also available in sizes 5 and 6, these are no longer available for the Woom Go. Instead, the Woom Explore presented last year takes over these sizes for the larger models. However, there is one exception: the Woom Go 4 exists alongside the Woom Explore 4 — whereby the Woom Explore 4 is equipped with a Vario stem and disc brakes and the Woom Go 4 comes with BMX handlebars and rim brakes.

Accessory compatibility
Good news for all those who already own a Woom Original: All accessories for the Woom Original models from 2020 onwards also fit on the new Woom Go bikes. These include mudguards and the luggage rack.

Conclusion
With the Woom Go, the former original model series has been given a subtle update, while at the same time Woom has simplified its product range: the new Woom Go series now meets the mobility needs of smaller children, while older ones can find the right bike for them in the Woom Explore series. However, the most striking new feature of the Go series is certainly the refreshed color palette, with yellow returning to the line-up and pink being permanently available as a standard color for the first time. All models are now available on the Woom website and can also be ordered directly there.
